Toby Borradaile

Toby is a Registered Osteopath who qualified from the British school of Osteopathy in 2000. He spent a year working in Devon and Somerset before returning to London.

In London he specialised in sports injuries, working alongside athletes and top trainers at a corrective exercise performance clinic. Toby has treated a wide range of injuries from activities such as running, skiing, rugby and football and can give plenty of advice for stretches and exercise. If necessary he will refer to specialists for further investigations. He also held a clinic at a top dance centre treating professional dancers.

Toby has had experience in working with top football and rugby clubs, most notably, the England Deaf Rugby Team and is a keen sports person himself. He used to play semi professional rugby with London Wasps. He has encountered numerous injuries in the past which has helped his treatment of his patients.

Dan Hayward

Dan was brought up in a family of doctors and healthcare workers so working in this field was a natural step for him. Biology was the subject he excelled in at school.

Having completed a degree in psychology at the University of Hertfordshire, Dan decided to change direction and train to be an osteopath. He has always had an interest in the human body and meeting his local osteopath helped him make the decision.

Dan qualified from the British School of Osteopathy, London 1999. He returned to his native East Anglia to gain experience. Dan then developed an interest in cranial osteopathy as he found traditional approaches quite limiting. Dan was especially interested in the treatment of babies and children as he was impressed with how well they responded.

Dan then decided to travel and spent the next three years in Australia, New Zealand and France working with some excellent osteopaths. He learnt a tremendous amount about the treatment of children and sports injuries whilst working with injured skiers on the slopes in France. Dan then returned to these shores to spend some time doing locum work in Chester and north Wales before deciding to open the practice in Exeter with Toby.

Dan has developed an approach to osteopathy which is tailored to suit the individual. By using a range of techniques from direct manipulation to gently unwinding the body using cranial osteopathy, his aim is to return the patient to health. Dan hopes to do some research in the future to help the profession progress.
